November 9, 2025 – Twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost

The God of the Living

It is so easy to get caught up in the questions, details, and concerns of this age. We, like the Sadducees in today’s Gospel, can become so focused on earthly logic that we lose sight of the eternal. But Jesus bids us look higher. He points us away from the dust of death and toward the One who spoke from the bush: “I AM.” We gather this morning to worship this very God—not a God of dusty history or of forgotten tombs, but the “God of the Living.” Let us quiet our hearts, confess our sins, and prepare to hear the glorious comfort and certain promise found only in Him.
