Stop Hitting the Snooze Button
The spiritual alarm is sounding. Do we hear it, or are we tempted to drift back into the slumber of worldly indifference? The Apostle Paul reminds us in today’s sermon text that the hour has already come for us to wake from sleep. The night is fleeting; the day of our salvation draws ever nearer. We cannot afford to hit the snooze button on our faith. As we gather in the presence of a holy God, let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Clothed in the Lord Jesus Christ, we stand ready to greet the dawn. Awake, O sleeper, and listen—the Lord has a word for you today.
Sermon Text: Romans 13:8-14
