God’s Servants for Your Good

In a world filled with political turmoil, it is easy to view earthly authority with cynicism or frustration. We are often tempted to see human government merely as a flawed, earthly invention. Yet, as we gather in the Lord’s house today, the Apostle Paul invites us to view the structures of our society through the eyes of faith. Our gracious God is a God of order, continually working behind the scenes of history to protect, preserve, and bless His people. Today, as we open Romans 13, we will explore the surprising ways the Lord uses earthly authorities as “God’s Servants for Your Good.” May the Holy Spirit prepare our hearts to rest in the comforting, perfect sovereignty of our Savior!
