The Mission Begins at the Cross
It is easy to view our Christian life as a list of tasks or a daunting mission we must somehow accomplish. But as we gather this morning, the Apostle Paul invites us to stop and look to the source. Before we step out in service, we must first kneel at the cross. Here, God reconciled you to Himself. Here, your heavy burden of sin was laid on Jesus, and His perfect righteousness was given to you. As you prepare your heart for worship, let the noise of the week fade. Fix your eyes on the Savior whose love compels us. We cannot carry His message to the world until we first rest in His grace. Today, we are reminded that the mission begins at the cross.
