April 3, 2026 – Good Friday

The Ugliest Victory

We naturally love beautiful victories—shining trophies, parades, and flawless triumphs. But as we gather this Good Friday, our eyes are drawn to a very different scene. The cross of Christ is brutal, bloody, and offensive to human senses. There is no physical beauty in a bruised and dying Savior. Yet, the prophet Isaiah invites us to look closely at this marred figure. Beneath the staggering horror of the crucifixion lies the most breathtaking triumph the world has ever known. Prepare your hearts to witness the profound mystery of our salvation. The cost of our forgiveness was agonizing, but as we will explore in God’s Word today, it is precisely in this "Ugliest Victory" that our beautiful eternity was secured.
