The "With-ness" of God

Seven centuries before the skies over Bethlehem filled with song, the Lord gave King Ahaz a sign: “The virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” Tonight, we do not gather simply to retell a story, but to witness the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan. The Infinite has become an Infant; the Creator has wrapped Himself in our dust. Why would the Almighty bridge the gap between heaven and earth? As we prepare our hearts for worship, we ponder the mystery of the Incarnation. We leave behind our isolation to embrace the miracle of Immanuel—the profound and saving “with-ness” of our God.
