When Faith Feels Useless
“It is vain to serve God.” Have these heavy words ever echoed in the corridors of your heart? We look at the world around us, and often it seems the arrogant are blessed while the faithful struggle. When our prayers seem unanswered and our piety appears profitless, we are tempted to ask: Is this really worth it? Today, the prophet Malachi addresses the weary soul who feels that faith has become futile. As we gather before the Lord, we bring our doubts and our heaviness, preparing to hear how God answers the complaint of His people—not with a lightning bolt of anger, but with a listening ear and a gracious promise of remembrance.
