Experience the Peace of Christ
You are warmly invited to join us this Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Winter Haven.
What to Expect When You Visit
We know that visiting a new church can sometimes feel intimidating. At Immanuel Lutheran, our goal is to make you feel completely at home the moment you walk through our doors.
We are a small, tight-knit, and friendly congregation. You won't get lost in a massive crowd here; instead, you'll find a church family that genuinely cares for one another and is eager to welcome you.
Our worship is traditional, reverent, and entirely focused on God’s grace. We follow the historic liturgy of the Christian Church. If you have never attended a liturgical service before, don't worry! We provide everything you need to easily follow along.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
You will see a variety of clothing at Immanuel, ranging from business casual (button-down shirts, dresses, slacks) to everyday casual. Please come as you are; we are thrilled simply to have you worship with us.
What is "liturgical" worship?
The liturgy is an order of service that has been passed down through the centuries. It consists of responsive readings, prayers, and Scripture that keep our focus entirely on what God has done for us through Jesus. Everything you need to participate will be clearly printed in the bulletin or hymnal, and you can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Are children welcome in the service?
Absolutely! We believe it is a beautiful thing for families to worship together. We love having children in the sanctuary to hear the Word of God alongside their parents.
Will I be asked to give money?
No. The offering is a time for our regular members to joyfully support the ministry of the church. As our guest, please do not feel any obligation to put anything in the offering plate.
What does it mean to be a "Confessional" Lutheran?
It means we take the Bible seriously. As a member of the Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC), we hold firmly that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. We subscribe unconditionally to the historic Lutheran Confessions because they are a faithful exposition of Biblical truth.
Let Us Know You're Coming!
We would love to prepare for your visit. If you fill out this short form, our pastor, Rob Sauers, will reach out to you personally to welcome you, answer any questions you might have, and he will personally look for you to greet you as you come in and help you find a seat.
