A Church with Purpose

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Winter Haven, Florida, was founded with a deep commitment to preaching and teaching God's Word as revealed in Scripture. Our congregation strives to maintain the true Biblical teaching centering our theology on Jesus Christ's sacrificial death and victorious resurrection for the sins of the world. We welcome anyone seeking to experience God's grace and love, whether you're new to faith or looking to deepen your spiritual journey.

Our church is dedicated to strengthening faith in the hearts of young people and adults alike. We believe in the power of Christian education and family involvement in nurturing faith, and our Christian Day School is a testament to this commitment. At Immanuel, you'll find a community that embraces traditional Lutheran beliefs while addressing the challenges of contemporary life.

We invite you to join us, whether you're exploring the Gospel for the first time, seeking to grow in your faith, or looking for a welcoming church family. Come as you are, and let God's unchanging truth speak to you in today's ever-changing world.

Join us Sunday @ 10:15 am

What We Believe

This is how we view God, Jesus, the Bible, man, and many significant aspects of our faith. Firmly rooted in Scripture, the beliefs of Immanuel Lutheran guide our decisions as a church.

The Father
Creator of all that exists, loves and seeks to bless His people.  We desire to live under Him in His kingdom.
Jesus Christ, the Son
Who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan.
The Holy Spirit
Who creates faith and guides us into all Truth Through God’s Word and Sacraments.
The Trinity
The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God in relationship with each other for all eternity.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s inerrant Word.  It was written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
The Gospel
Jesus is the only source of true healing available to humans.  God desires only that all people would come to faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior and be healed through His mercy.
Communion

We believe in the real presence of Christ in the Lord's Supper, where His body and blood are truly present "in, with, and under" the bread and wine.

Baptism

In Baptism God gives us His gifts of the forgiveness of sins, salvation, and eternal life.
