Overcoming Evil at the Foot of the Cross
We live in a world steeped in bitterness and vengeance, a relentless cycle of returning injury for injury. If we are honest, our own sinful flesh is quickly pulled into that same dark current. Our nature demands retaliation, yet our Lord calls us to a radically different path of genuine love. How can we possibly stand against the overwhelming evil around us and within us? We cannot look to our own willpower for this strength. Today, as we prepare our hearts for worship, we turn our eyes to the only place where sin and Satan were definitively defeated. Let us find our refuge, our peace, and our ultimate victory where it was won: at the foot of the cross.
