Beloved Sons
At His baptism in the Jordan, Jesus is revealed as the Beloved Son of God, anointed by the Spirit and affirmed by the Father’s voice. In this moment, He stands in solidarity with sinners, beginning His journey to the cross for our salvation. Today, as we reflect on Luke 3:15-22, we rejoice that through baptism, we are united to Christ, named as God’s beloved sons and daughters, and made heirs of His eternal kingdom. In this time of worship, we celebrate the gift of baptism and the unshakable identity we have as God’s beloved children.
